Kathmandu, Sept 1: Minister for Health Gagan Kumar Thapa has said that he was always in favour that all VIPs should undergo treatment in Nepal.
At a news conference organised at the Ministry on Thursday, Minister Thapa said that he would work to establish a trend of leaders undergoing treatment of all diseases that are curable in Nepal.
He further said that the trend of going abroad for treatment of the diseases cured in Nepal would increase financial burden to the nation.
Stating that the Department of Drug Administration has been directed to send medicines to all health institutions immediately, the Health Minister said, “I have already asked to start working for sending doctors and medicines to all health institution as per the wish of the Prime Minister.
He further said that discussion regarding the issue of taking the responsibility of Manmohan Memorial Institute of Health Science Foundation by the National Academy of Medical Science raised by the Prof Dr Govinda KC was heading toward positive way. RSS
