Kathmandu, Jan 25: Former President of Mauritius, Cassam Uteem paid a courtesy call on Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bimalendra Nidhi.
During the meeting held at Home Ministry on Wednesday, former President Cassam inquired about Nepal’s peace process and latest political scenario.
He said that experience of peace process of Nepal would be exemplary and useful to the international community.
On the occasion, Deputy Prime Minister thanked the international community for its support in the peace process and said that constitution implementation has reached the final phase to institutionalize the latest political changes.
Likewise, Qatari Ambassador to Nepal Yusuf Bin Mohammad Al Hel called on DPM Nidhi and discussed about bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest. The Ambassador noted the contribution of Nepali workers in the lead up to the preparations for the 2022 World Cup being held in Qatar.
Home Minister Nidhi drew the attention of the Qatari government towards creating employment opportunities for skilled Nepali workers.
Also today, Israeli Ambassador to Nepal Yaron Mayer called on DPM Nidhi and discussed various aspects of Nepal-Israel relationship.
On the occasion, DPM Nidhi lauded the agriculture study opportunities provided by the Israeli government to Nepali students and looked for exchange of experiences in other sectors too.
