Banke, Feb 6: Police on Sunday arrested a man in illegal possession of a Chinese pistol from Jamunaha in Banke district that shares border with India.
The arrested has been identified as Saddam Pathan of Nepaljung Sub Metropolitan City-8 in the district during the security check-up along the Nepal-India border.
Pathan was nabbed with a set of pistol and three set bullet as he was carrying discreetly with him, according to the District Police Office, Banke.
Police have also seized two packets of brown sugar from Pathan, informed Police Inspector Bir Bahadur Thapa.
