Bhaktapur, Sept 2: Chairperson of Federation of Contractors’ Assocication of Nepal, Sharad Kumar Gauchan has accused the government of being involved in forcing them to leave their profession.
At an inaugural programme of the 16th general meeting and sixth convention of Bhaktapur Chapter of Federation, he expressed disagreement over the recent amendment to the Public Procurement Act.
Though an agreement was made with the then Pushpa Kamal Dahal-led government in 2066 BS which stated that no qualification will be stipulated to carry out construction works up to Rs 20 million, the government now is opting to reverse the agreement, he added. RSS
