Kathmandu, Serpt 2: Chief of General Staff Baldev Raj Mahat has been designated as the Acting Army Chief after Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Rajendra Chhetri left for the Philippines and South Africa to attend an international conference on defence.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari designated Mahat as the Acting Army Chief today. The conference of ‘Chiefs of Defence’ will run up to 10 September. RSS
