Kalikot, March 1: A woman died and six others were injured after being buried by a mound of earth at Manma, the district headquarters of Kalikot today.
The deceased has been identified as Sita Pandey, 23, of Manma VDC-8. The incident happened as she along with others was trying to dig out clay from the foundation pits meant for a private house.
The injured are under the medical care at the District Hospital, Kalikot, hospital’s senior Assistant Health Worker Katak Bahadur Mahat said. They were rescued by the locals and rushed to the hospital.
