Bajura, March 17: A child was killed and two more sustained injuries when lightning struck the house of one Chandan Karki at Borta, Rugin-4 of the Sihamali Rural Municipality in the north of the district on Thursday night.
The deceased is 14-year-old Sher Bahadur Karki, the son of Chandan Karki. Chandan’s two daughters – Jhumkala Karki, 17, and Junu Karki, 10, sustained burn injuries in the incident, the District Police Office, Bajura, stated. They are receiving treatment at the primary health centre in Kolti.
The lightning also killed Karki’s two oxen and a goat. RSS
