Nawalparasi, March 23: The construction of Tokre canal in Devchuli municipality of Nawalparasi has been completed.
The canal was constructed on the World Bank funding of around Rs 86.6 million with people’s mobilization.
This is the second largest canal in the district after Gandak canal, informed Chief of Nawalparasi Irrigation Development Division Office, Chudaraj Dhakal.
People from the northern belt of Devchuli municipality covering Rambas, Mudhabas, Tinghare, Bishaltar, Munde and Aanptari would get benefits from the canal.
