Baitadi, March 24: The Purghat Police Post, constructed by the Ministry of Peace and Reconstruction at Purchaudi at the cost of over Rs 10 million, has remained idle even after seven months of the completion of its construction.
Baitadi District Police Office Chief DSP Heramba Sharma said the police building has been lying idle as it is yet to be officially inaugurated. “Preparation is underway to inaugurate the building. We will shift to the new building soon”, he shared.
The Peace and Reconstruction Ministry had constructed the Purghat police post, devastated iduring the armed conflict time, at the investment of Rs 10,866,000.
With delay in bringing new building into operation, the police administration is running its activities from a rented house.
The Ministry has constructed well-equipped five new police posts in Baitadi at the cost of Rs 48.5 million. RSS
