Kathmandu, Sept 3: Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bimalendra Nidhi has said efforts were underway to amend the constitution for its effective implementation.
“Amendment of constitution is essential for its broader acceptability and effective implementation. Political consensus would be built for the amendment; and amendment would address the demands of the disgruntled Madhes,” said DPM during a news conference in the capital city on Saturday.
According to him, serious discussion was being held among the top political leaderships, so the country would get the political outlet soon.
Some priorities of the government were- completion of the remaining tasks of the peace process, guarantee of broader acceptability of constitution with amendment, and conduction of the elections in three levels, he added.
The DPM further argued that the present coalition would continue till these tasks were successfully accomplished.
Moreover, DPM Nidhi said the security situation would be boosted soon to make people realize this in daily life.
The DPM also claimed that his visit to India as a special envoy of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal had been very successful. RSS
