Pokhara, Sept 6: The Shitaladevi Secondary School has stood out among the community schools faced with a host of challenges including diminishing student population size and sagging education quality.
The School located at Pokhara Sub Metropolitan City – 12 has made room at the top spot among the community schools by tapping into its own private resources. The government has allocated eight posts and three relief quota of teachers.
The Shitaladevi Secondary School will be conferred the best school award along with a national shield and a cash prize of Rs 200,000 on September 8 coinciding with the occasion of 37th Education Day and Literacy Day.
The Ministry of Education (MoE) has been rewarding the best school award annually as per which Shitaladevi will receive the award and honour as the best school among a total of 35,000 community schools in the country, said School Principal Baburam Adhikari. RSS
