Kathmandu, Sept 6: The National University Sports Association Nepal has demanded that the government establish a Sports University.
At a news conference organised here Tuesday, Association Chairman Anil Kumar Rijal said that development of Nepali sports sector has not taken momentum as the country lacks a single university related to it. The Association also demanded that the budget meant for the sports sector should be spent for the sector.
At least one coach should be appointed for all campus under all universities and one sports competition should be organised at the universities at least once a year.
The Association, a sister organisation of the National Democratic Sports Federation, close to the CPN (UML), said that it would organise various pressure-oriented programme unless the Sports University is established. RSS
