Jhapa, Sept 9: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a graft charge in the special court against three government officials including chief investigation officer at the Jhapa District Office of the National Investigation Department (NID).
The chief investigation officer Pushpa Raj Mishra has been accused of misappropriating over Rs 4.8 million by illegally taking money meant for salaries of those contracted employees and for their ration.
Mishra was posted at district offices of the NID in Panchthar and Udayapur as chief investigation officer. He has been charged with the misappropriation during the stints there.
Other accused–Dhanraj Adhikari, then assistant informant at the Account section of the Panchthar district office of the NID, and Prakash Kumar Rai, informant at the Udayapur district office of the NID—have been accused of aiding Mishra in his illegal act, a CIAA official said. RSS
