Lamjung, Sept 9: Nepali Congress (NC) senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel on Friday claimed that the country could not develop due to a failure to institutionalise past achievements.
Addressing a programme organised by the NC district working committee to mark the 102nd birth anniversaries of NC founding leader BP Koirala, leader Poudel said, “Those countries which launched revolutions alongside us (Nepal) have taken a stride in development. But we are tossed back and forth by different systems ranging from democracy, panchyat and Loktantra. So we are lagging behind.”
Acknowledging Nepal’s potential for hydropower and tourism, he said the country would be lifted economically if agriculture, hydropower and tourism were developed. RSS
