Jajrakot, Sept 11: Bir Bahadur BK of Nayakbada-8 in Jajarkot district, who was suffering from leprosy and living in a jungle for lack of treatment due to financial crunch, has been rescued. He is now receiving treatment in Surkhet.
The INF, Surkhet, an social organisation, rescued BK on September 1 after the news ‘Problems in treatment due to financial crunch’ was disseminated from the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) on August 27. BK, 50, was compelled to live in the jungle for the past five years after being ostracized by the society over the leprosy disease he was carrying.
BK was brought to the District headquarters by an employee at the District Health Office, Jajarkot, Krsihna Bahadur Khatri and a local journalist Tirtha Raj Bohara.
The INF will bear all expenses including transport and treatment of BK, said Khatri. RSS
