Kathmandu, Sept 12: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal is paying a four-day state visit to India from coming September 15 to 18, at the cordial invitation of Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi.
The PM Dahal will be accompanied by his spouse, Sita Dahal. He will be staying at the Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi as the State Guest of the Government of India, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Minister for Foreign Affairs, Prakash Sharan Mahat, who is currently in New Delhi for the preparation of the high level visit, will also accompany the Prime Minister.
Similarly, Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Ramesh Lekhak, Members of the Legislature-Parliament, Secretaries and other officials from different Ministries, media persons and representatives of business community would also be part of the delegation.
During the visit, PM Dahal is scheduled to attend a reception to be hosted by the Embassy of Nepal in New Delhi on September 15, while he would attend the Ceremonial Reception and inspect a Guard of Honour at the Rashtrapati Bhawan next day. He will then pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat. On the same day, the PM pays a call on President of India, Pranab Mukherjee, and hold official meeting with Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. Some senior Cabinet members of the Government of India will call on PM Dahal.
Moreover, PM Dahal will inspect Nathpa Jhakri Hydropower Project in Himanchal Pradesh and visit Patanjali Yogpeeth and its industrial/manufacturing units in Haridwar.
He is scheduled to interact with intellectual circle and business community in New Delhi as well as with Nepali community in India during the visit. He is scheduled to return home on September 18, adds a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry here today. RSS
