Dhanusha, Sept 14: A journalist in the district has been attacked severely over the news story he wrote.
Reporter for the News 24 TV, onlinekhabar.com and Arthik Abhiyan national daily from Dhanusha, Raj Kamal Singh, was attacked by a group led by Dhanusa constituency-1 President of Nepali Congress, Nawin Gohiwar. Even an attempt to abduct him was made.
The group of some seven persons that came in a bus accused Singh of writing news that would disrepute Gohiwar’s political image. While retaliating with the abduction attempt, the group attacked with stone and fist, said victim reporter Singh.
The district police immediately arrested five persons involved in the intimidation They are- Gohiwar, 30, from Gothkoyalpur-2, Rajdevi Gohiwar,25, from same locality, Pushpendra Goit,25 from Bishorbhora-9, and Sanjiv Kumar Mandal, 30, from Dhanauji-8.
The district police added that investigation was initiated against them by registering a public offence case. RSS
