NC District Presidents urge leadership for party consolidation

Hetauda. The ongoing national conclave of the Nepali Congress district Presidents has urged the leadership for party consolidation.
NC Makawanpur Prsident Indra Bahadur Baniya suggested amendment to the party statute to align the federal structure and stressed that the party should give tockets to the candidates having strong influence among the voters and base for public confidence.
Likewise, NC Bajhang President Harka Jung Bahadur Singh said the growing indiscipline within the party has undermined its performance and image and suggested statute amendment to make its role effective in national politics.
Also speaking on the occasion, Saptari President Dinesh Yadav, Siraha President Ram Chandra Yadav and Parsa President Ajaya Duvedi highlighted the need to reach out the party presence to the doorsteps of people and suggested leadership to put in place impartial evaluation system within the party.
Taking part in the deliberation, Bhojpur President Nanda Mani Rai, Solu President Binod Kumar Basnet, Rasuwa President Pemba Chhiring Lama, Sindhuli President Ujjwal Baral, Khotang President Naresh Shrestha, Taplejung Women Association President Leela Pokharel and Kavre President Madhu Prasad Acharya said that the NC should keep on coordination with democratic forces to safeguard constitution and democracy in the country.
At a press conference organized here today, NC Spokesperson Biswo Prakash Sharma shared that the district Presidents urged for amendment of the party statute in line with the federal structure and stressed the need for strong commitment from leaders and cadres to make the party pro-public, responsible and effective.
