Kathmandu, Oct 21:Minister for Commerce Romi Gauchan has said the recent business meeting held among Bangladesh, Bhutan, India and Nepal (BBIN) has opened a door for Nepal to take maximum benefits through the intra-regional trade.
Speaking at a programme organised by the Industry, Commerce and Consumer Welfare Committee of the Legislature-Parliament in his honour today, the Minister said the implementation of directives from the Committee was the top priority of his office. He said he was committed to following the Committee directives and recommendations while performing his office duties.
Promoting the exports of black cardamom, pashmina products, coffee and ginger were the priorities of the government, he said, adding that trade facilitation, infrastructure development and connectivity establishment always remained on the top priorities of the Ministry. The process was on the progress to distribute compensation amount for land acquire to construct the Rasuwa port.
Committee President Bhishmaraj Aangdembe expressed his hope that Nepal would able to take elaborate measures to reduce its huge trade deficit in the days ahead. RSS
