Inaruwa, Oct 21: A scooter rider was killed after getting hit by a passenger bus in Dharan today.
The deceased has been identified as Hemanta Gurung of Dharan – 8, Sunsari’s Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Binod Ghimire said.
The passenger bus (Na 4 Kha 5387) en route to Itahari from Dharan rammed a scooter (16 Pa 4930) coming from the opposite direction at Dharan Sub Metropolis – 8 killing Gurung.
Gurung, who was seriously injured, died on the way to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan. The police have detained the driver and impounded the vehicle involved in the accident. RSS
