Palpa, Oct 25: The Palpa District Court has introduced bilingual service with the appointment of four bilinguals in order to facilitate service seekers that do not speak Nepali language or have difficulty in communicating in the language.
The women and children from the remotest parts of the district had been facing difficulties in absence of the bilingual service. The court appointed bilinguals speaking Nepal Bhasa, Magar and English languages.
The Magar community which holds the majority in the district have heaved a sigh of relief with the appointment of bilinguals, Court’s Registrar, Subarna Khanal said. The district has dense settlements of communities speaking Magar and Nepal Bhasa.
In the last fiscal year, the court handed divorce to 101 couples while of the total of 23 other cases, 18 cases were settled through reconciliation. RSS
