Pachthar, Nov 3: Nepali Congress leader and Nepal Women’s Association (NWA) General-Secretary Dhana Khatiwada has stated that women are now capable of assuming leadership roles.
Talking to RSS at Phidim in Pachthar district on Wednesday evening, leader Khatiwada assured that capable and competent would come forward provided they get equal opportunities.
Khatiwada pledged that the NWA, the sister organization of Nepali Congress, will launch awareness programmes for the capacity building and supporting women’s leadership development.
She asserted, “Now the women will assume the leadership roles. Women should no longer be a ‘Yes Man’. They should come forward to demonstrate their leadership qualities.”
Khatiwada was of the opinion that the new constitution should be enforced by revising it after forging a consensus among the political parties in the country.
She also pressed for timely elections of local, provincial and federal and expressed her belief that capable and competent women would get elected in all three levels. RSS
