Japanese Ambassador calls on Industry Minister

Kathmandu, Aug 30: Japanese Ambassador to Nepal Masashi Ogawa called on Industry Minister Nabindra Raj Joshi and dwelt on the matters of investment and technology transfer in Nepali industry.
Agendas discussed in the meeting held at Singhadurbar-based Ministry of Industry were about Japanese investment, technology and skills development.
On the occasion, Minister Joshi highlighted the importance of Japanese support to the development of small and cottage industries while noting that Nepal-Japan relation is special and friendly.
Attaining economic prosperity through industrial development is the broader objective of my Ministry, he added.
During the meet, Ambassador Ogawa also apprised the Industry Minister of the three-day Nepal visit by Japanese Minister of State for Foreign Affairs to mark the 60 years of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Nepal and Japan on September 1.
Ambassador Ogawa wished Minister Joshi for his successful tenure and expressed readiness of Japan for providing necessary support in the advancement and expansion of industry in Nepal. RSS
