Ensure effective public access to health insurance-Vice-President

Lalitpur, Nov 7: Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun has noted that the country should be taken towards the path to economic prosperity as it has already gone through a hiatus of political change.
At a programme organized here Monday to mark the Silver Jubilee of Human Development and Community Services (HDCS), Vice-President Pun said building prosperous Nepal was possible only when Nepali people residing in all three regions – hilly, mountain and Terai –worked together.
Drawing the government’s attention towards promoting and protecting Ayurvedic and naturopathy medicine systems, he said, “The government should work to increase number of health institutions and health workers and also ensure effective access to heath insurance”.
On the occasion, Minister for Urban Development Arjun Narsingh KC lauded NGOs and INGOs for working in the remote areas where the government has not reached out its initiatives while stressing that genuine humanitarian works should continue.
HDCS Executive Director Dr Tirtha Thapa shared that the organization has been continuously serving the poor and helpless people for over 25 years. RSS
