Inaruwa, Nov 11: A person was arrested for submitting fake details to obtain a citizenship certificate at the District Administration Office (DAO), Sunsari on Thursday.
Umesh Kumar Das aka Indradev of Madhyeharsahi – 7 of Sunsari and currently living in Kataiya – 4 of Saptari was arrested, District Police Office, Sunsari said.
He had applied for a citizenship by naming in-laws Sahadev Das and Anardevi Das of Pashimkusaha as father and mother, said Binod Ghimire, Sunsari’s Deputy Superintendent of Police.
Based on the fake details, Umesh had obtained the citizenship certificate (063045/2345) on February 27, 2007.
A police team dispatched from the Area Police Office, Kanchanpur arrested Umesh from Kanchanpur – 5 where he was in hiding. He was handed over to DPO, Sunsari for further action. Police are launching further investigation into the incident. RSS
