Kathmandu, Nov 17: Service recipients going to the state-owned and run Bir hospital and Kanti Children’s hospital will not have to spend hours in queue for buying the ticket to get an audience with the doctors.
The long-held system of people having to queue for hours from the wee hours of the day has come to an end with the introduction of the coupon system. As per the new system, soon upon reaching the hospital, a service recipient will receive a digital coupon, carrying a number. Based on the number after it comes on the display screen, the person holding the coupon will get a ticket, that will also include the number that he/she will get to see the doctor at the outward patient department.
The coupon system came into effect a week ago at Kanti hospital and from Wednesday at Bir Hospital. RSS
