America, April 3: The second general convention of Overseas Nepalese Forum, America held in Maryland of Baltimore from March 31 –April 2 has elected Prabhu Thapa as its chair.
Thapa obtained 85 votes against 56 votes secured by his rival Janak Rana to win the election.
Tek Gurung has been elected the senior vice-chair while Yamuna Bhattarai is the vice-chair and Radha Krishna Deuja is the general secretary. The convention elected Krishna Prasad Lamichhane as the deputy general secretary and Hemant Bhetuwal is the treasurer on the new executive committee.
