DPM and Home Minister’s directive for prompt rescue



Kathmandu, April 3: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs, Bimalendra Nidhi, has directed the bodies concerned for the prompt rescue of the people injured in the incident of dry landslide that occurred at Ghumaune section of the Muglin-Narayangadh road this morning.
A person was killed on the spot while two others sustained injuries when a mound of the Ghumaune knoll fell down on the road. A tanker, a truck, a mini-truck and a car were buried when the mound fell from the hillside on the road.
A press release issued by DPM and Home Minister Nidhi’s press advisor Ramji Dahal states that the Nepalese Army, Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force personnel have already reached the site of the dry landslide for rescue immediately after the incident.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has kept a helicopter of the Nepalese Army on stand-by for the rescue of the injured and also ordered the despatch of a JVC loader to the site from Tanahun for removing the debris that has deposited on the road, the press releases states.
