Bhimduttanagar, July 5: The CPN (UML) candidate has got elected to the post of mayor in Krishnapur Municipality, Kanchanpur.
Party candidate Karna Bahadur Hamal secured 6,706 votes against 5,760 votes of his nearest competitor Hemraj Ojha from the Nepali Congress to win the election, according to the District Election Office, Kanchanpur.
Likewise, the post of deputy mayor has also been won by the party with its candidate Ramita Rana becoming victorious with 7,018 votes. Her nearest rival NC candidate Bhuwaneshwori Joshi secured 5,928 votes.
