Kathmandu, Sept 6: The Legislature-Parliament Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee meeting Tuesday decided to make a public appeal through the media calling for their feedback on the proposed names for the post of Ambassadors to India and China.
Accordingly, the Committee has urged the members of the public to provide clear basis and evidence, if anyone thinks that the proposed candidates are not eligible or appropriate to the posts. The Committee has set a deadline of September 16 to file the complaints, if any.
It may be noted that the government has recommended the names of NC leader Dip Kumar Upadhyaya and former Chief Secretary Lilamani Poudel as the ambassadors of Nepal to India and China respectively. The information from the public is to be provided to the Committee’s office in the Legislature-Parliament Secretariat in Singha Durbar. RSS
