Kathmandu, 18 Sept. President Bidya Devi Bhandari has called on all voters to actively participate in the local level election being held in Province No 2 by exercising the rights guaranteed by the constitution.
Issuing a press release today, the Office of the President said the President has called on all Nepali sisters and brothers of Province No 2 to make the third round of local level election successful, for the opportunity for this was created with the constitution promulgated by the Constituent Assembly achieved through a great untiring struggle.
Nepal is constitutionally mandated to hold the remaining elections- of province and federal parliaments- by the coming January, the press release reminded, adding that the successful elections of the two rounds of local elections, have ensured leaderships in the local levels, which is indeed a process of citizen empowerment in the grassroots.
The President further hoped that the local level elections would pave a way for socio-economic development.
