Jhapa, Sept 12: CPN-UML senior leader Jhalanath Khanal has forewarned that the country could be in grave political morass if elections were held on stipulated time.
Speaking at a press conference organized by Press Chautari Nepal at Birtamode in Jhapa district today, leader Khanal said, “The country could reel under huge challenges and crisis during the constitution implementation process if the elections are not held within mid-January next year.”
Khanal also called for unity among the political parties to avert the crisis and challenges.
The former Prime Minister also blamed the incumbent government that it was not serious towards the election and implementation.
He reaffirmed to cooperate for holding polls and bringing to effect the new national statute despite CPN-UML remaining in the opposition. RSS
