Leader Khanal insists on timely poll


Ilam, Sept 13: Former Prime Minister and CPN (UML) senior leader Jhala Nath Khanal has stressed the need of holding the local poll on the stipulated date.
During his meeting with party workers at Phikkal of Suryodaya Municipality of Ilam this morning, Khanal forewarned that the country would fall under a crisis if election was not taken place within the scheduled date or third week of coming January.
Ruling out the possibility of second amendment to the constitution at present time, the senior leader of the main opposition argued, “The constitution is in the enforcement phase and it now shall not be revised.”
He was of the view of taking the country towards the path of economic progress with the effective enforcement of the constitution. RSS
