Kathmandu, Sept 18: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said his visit to India has been meaningful to boost trust between the two countries.
Talking to media at Tribhuvan International Airport after his arrival home with the completion of the four day State visit to India on Sunday, PM Dahal expressed confidence that the visit made it possible to strengthen the intimate and multidimensional relations subsisting between Nepal and India for long.
“The visit was aimed at building trusty environment with good intention between the two countries rather than raising numerous issues. So, the visit focused effective and immediate implementation of the projects agreed earlier for the welfare of Nepal,” the PM said, adding that
During the visit, PM Dahal held the meeting in person with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi and attended the high level meetings of different delegations which featured various issues in a cordial and open atmosphere.
“We both sides agreed to make regular review of the progress of different projects as cross border rail link, united check posts and postal highway, and accomplish these on time,” the PM added.
According to him, an agreement was made to hold the meeting of the Foreign Ministerial Joint Commission this year to take decision on the future actions to make review of different aspects of Nepal-India relations.
