Pokhara, Sept 18: CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has reaffirmed the commitment of his party for the implementation of the constitution that was promulgated a year ago.
Inaugurating the first UML’s committee meeting of province no 4 in Pokhara on Sunday, leader Oli reiterated the commitment for the same, stating that UML too had played its important role during the process of the promulgation of the national charter.
Furthermore, the former Prime Minister claimed that the government under his leadership was brought down fearing its growing assertiveness on the issues of national interest, including safeguarding national sovereignty, integrity and dignity.
Touching on the recent State visit of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal to India, Oli claimed that the PM had weakened the national dignity in the name of visiting the southern neighbour.
On the occasion, he directed party’s cadres to function for the cause of nation and make CPM-UML an ace. He also administered the oath of office and secrecy to the new office bearers of the party’s organization for province no 4.
Echoing with Oli, General-Secretary Ishowar Pokharel said that UML was ever ready to bring into effect the new constitution for the greater good of the country rather than to appease anyone.
