Kathmandu, Sept 20: CPN (Maoist Centre) has concluded that the India visit by the party Chair and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal was successful.
The central office meeting of the party chaired by Chairman Dahal concluded that the visit in overall was fruitful, according to party Spokesperson Pampha Bhusal.
Prime Minister Dahal had briefed the participants about his meetings with the Indian President, the Prime Minister and other leaders, as well as with industrialists, intellectuals and non-resident Nepali in yesterday’s meeting.
Leaders had expressed their views regarding the party chair and Prime Minister Dahal’s recent India visit in today’s meeting, Bhusal added.
Spokesperson Bhusal shared that the meeting concluded that the visit contributed to further strengthen bilateral ties, India’s additional support for the quake survivors and India’s positive remarks regarding the constitution of Nepal were the achievements of the visit.
Likewise, some leaders opined for clarifying the controversial points included in the joint statement issued during PM Dahal’s visit.
Spokesperson Bhusal ruled out that they did not hold any discussions regarding the investigation carried out by the Commission of Investigation of the Abuse of Authority into the embezzlement reportedly occurred in the then Maoist combatants’ camps.
