Kathmandu, Sept 25: A delegation arrived here from Mugu, a remote hilly district from Midwestern region, has demanded upgrading and development of physical infrastructure and expansion of services in the District Hospital of Gamgadhi, Mugu.
The delegation demanded this during the meeting with Health Minister Gagan Kumar Thapa, arguing the 15-bed hospital was in a dilapidated condition and had no specialist doctor.
The team also demanded the hospital be made of 150-beds and equipped with modern medical instruments. Appointment of specialist doctor was another pressing need.
On the occasion, Minister Thapa said that he was positive towards their demands and would take necessary initiatives on the behalf of the Ministry, said delegation member and Mugu President of Nepali Congress, Khadga Bahadur Shahi. RSS
