Rajbiraj, Aug 31: A child drowned while swimming in a local pond at Trikol-9 in Saptari district on Tuesday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Santoshi Mandal, 13, of Trikol-9 in the district. Mandal had been to a pond in the locality to bathe her buffalo when the incident took place, according to District Police Office, Saptari.
The dead body has been kept at the Zonal Hospital at the district headquarters Rajbiraj for post mortem, police said.RSS
