State Minister Nobuo calls on Foreign Minister Mahat

Kathmandu, Aug 31: Japan’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Nobuo Kishi, today called on Foreign Minister, Prakash Sharan Mahat, at latter’s office.
On the occasion, the two discussed Nepal-Japan relations and touched on a host of subjects of mutual interest and concern. Both the ministers expressed commitment for strengthening the mutual relations and enhancing regional and international cooperation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
Minister Mahat took the opportunity to underscore the incumbent government’s determination to oversee constitution’s implementation and usher in economic development.
During the meeting State Minister Nobuo inquired into the post-quake reconstruction and effort for economic development.
The Japanese State Minister is on a three-day official visit to take part in a special ceremony to mark the 60th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Japan. RSS
