Rolpa, Aug 31: A case has been filed against three persons at the District Court, Rolpa, on the charge of their involvement in child marriage.
The case of was filed on Wednesday against Laxman BK of Kareti-2, Deepak Pariyar and Ramesh Pariyar of Gairigaun-8 as per the child marriage act, according to the District Police Office, Rolpa.
Laxman and Deepak on August 13 had forcefully tied the knot of Ramesh with 17-year-old Sunita Pariyar of Gairigaun. The case was filed against the three persons after Sunita managed to flee from the house of Ramesh on August 27 and filed a complaint against the three.
Sunita is currently under police protection and action would be taken against the accused as per Civil Code, said Deputy Superintendent of Police of Rolpa, Ram Prasad Gharti Magar. RSS
