Kathmandu. The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration submitted a report on the organisational structure of the reshuffled ministries to the Cabinet meeting held on Monday for approval.
The government slashed the number of ministries to 21 from 31 to keep up with the new federal setup. The report was forwarded to the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
The report recommends a new structure of the re-organised ministries, their required department, division and sections, and necessary staffers, which will come into effect after its approval.
It requires six months to restructure the restructured ministries.
An organisational and management committee has been formed in this regard under the chairmanship of Secretary of the Ministry Shankar Prasad Koirala. Other members include a joint secretary of the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, a join secretary of Finance Ministry, a joint secretary of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs and a joint secretary of the concerned Ministry.
