Sindhuli, Nov 10: The Chandidal Battalion was crowned the winner of the first-ever Sindhuligadhi Open Half Marathon Competition held on Wednesday.
The Kalamati Municipality of Sindhuligadhi organized the Open Half Marathon for promotion of tourism in historical Sindhuligadhi.
Chandidal Battalion’s Karna Bahadur Basnet stood first with a timing of an hour, 17 minutes and 25 seconds, followed by Keshav Acharya and Biswas Baniya who completed the 21-kilometres distance in an hour and 19 minutes and an hour and 22 minutes respectively.
Basnet will take home Rs 50,000 along with a certificate while the second and third runners-up will receive Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000 along with certificates respectively.
There were a total number of 25 participants from Sindhuli, Ramechhap, Nuwakot, including one woman from Bhaktapur. RSS
