Damauli, Dec 4: Minister for Defense Bal Krishna Khand has said major political parties must come together to amend and implement the constitution.
At a programme organized to conclude the Bhimad Festival here Sunday, Minister Khand said the big parties- NC, UML and CPN (Maoist-Centre) – had stood together while promulgating the constitution, so they should now wipe out the present bitterness for the effective implementation of the constitution.
“If there is nation, there are political parties, so political unity is essential,” he buttressed.
On a different note, he said the festivals and fairs would help boost tourism in the concerned areas.
Coordinator of the festival Bhimsen Thapa claimed that the festival would contribute to the economic, social and cultural activities in the region.
More than 350,000 people visited the festival which witnessed the transaction of nearly Rs 30 million. RSS
