Kathmandu, Jan 3: The House session scheduled for 1pm today was adjourned by pasting a notice.
The notice states the meeting was to be put off due to a special reason and it was rescheduled for 1pm on January 8.
Before the Legislature-Parliament Secretariat deciding to postpone the meeting, a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee comprising leaders and whips of political parties representing in the Parliament was held.
It is learnt that the House session was adjourned as the main opposition CPN (UML) that has been obstructing the House proceedings since the registration of the constitution amendment bill on November 29 demanded time until January 8 to think on its future course of action in the aftermath of the Supreme Court’s verdict regarding the bill Monday. The apex court verdict stated that there was no need to stay the motion. RSS
