PM Dahal makes an observation visit to Nathpa Jhakri hydel project



New Delhi, Sept 17: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who is currently on a state-visit to India, made an onsite inspection of the Nathpa Jhakri hydropower project in Himanchal state of India on Saturday.
During the visit to the 1500 MW project, Prime Minister Dahal said Nepal should take note of the skills adopted in the design of the project in developing hydropower in the country.
On the occasion, the project officials briefed the Prime Minister about various aspects of the project. Earlier, the Prime Minister and other members of the visiting team were flown in to the project site from Chandigarh airport after arriving from the capital New Delhi.
Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Ramesh Lekhak and MPs Tek Bahadur Basnet of CPN-MC and Yogendra Chaudhary of MJF-D also inspected the project while lauding it as an exemplary model of physical infrastructure development and pointing out the need to learn the technical aspects of it.RSS
