Kawasoti, Oct 18: Minister for Forest and Soil Conservation, Shankar Bhandari, said the government cannot amend the constitution without the consent of the main opposition party – CPN (UML).
The Minister arrived in the district to attend the inaugural ceremony of the 12th Rhino Conservation Gold Cup – 2073 which began on Monday at Kolhuwa of Madhyabindu – 2 of Nawalparasi.
During a press conference held by Nepal Press Union, Nawalparasi, Minister Bhandari said the government was now preparing to hold talks with the Madhes-centric parties.
He assured that the UML would be informed of the agreement between Madhes-based parties and the government on constitution’s amendment. RSS
