Baitadi, Oct 26: A team from the Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development (MoFALD) on Tuesday has monitored Siddeswor VDC which has been awaited to be declared a local body adopting Child Friendly Local Governance (CFLG)
The team headed by Under-Secretary of MoFALD, Guru Subedi, monitored the efforts being made by the VDC towards adopting CFLG and also held discussion whether the VDC has met the indicators set out in CFLG National Strategy 2068 and CFLG Implementation Working Procedure.
Any local body should meet 27 service-related and 12 institution-related indicators to be declared as the local body with CFLG
Siddeswor VDC Secretary Prem Siingh Bista informed that the monitoring team found that the VDC is eligible to be declared as CFLG for meeting all stipulated indicators.
The CFLG VDC declaration date will be set once the monitoring team submitted its report to MoFALD. RSS
