Kathmandu, Sept 15: CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has said development of education, health sectors; and technology was the need of the hour.
Speaking at a programme organized by CPN-UML Lalitpur District Committee in Lalitpur on Thursday, leader Oli drew the attention of authority concerned to break down the monopoly in the health sector.
Referencing the recent dismal result of class 12 where around 52 percent of the total examinees had failed in their annual exam, Oli said it was unfortunate and a huge loss for the country.
The former Prime Minister also affirmed that it was unimaginable to assign those acquiring citizenship of Nepal through naturalization in major public posts.
“Those meeting all the criteria could be eligible for citizenship certificates but people possessing such citizens shall not be eligible for the appointments as the Head of the State, Chief of Army Staff and chief of constitutional bodies.”
He further said that it was pointless to unwelcome the national statue which was endorsed by more than 92 per cent of the Constituent Assembly members that incorporates features like inclusiveness and federalism.
Oli also reaffirmed his commitment that he was always in the favor of national cause.
On the occasion, CPN-UML Chair Oli welcomed a total of 50 new members to the party that now is a major opposition. RSS
